I had a number one grocery store for ages until they quit properly staffing their medicine counter on a morning to morning basis.
Forget all of the customers who were forced to wait long amounts of time after the change in staffing, the real victims were the workers. They were suddenly forced to take shifts where they were left alone to answer phones, fill medications, accept drop offs, and process pickups with the cash register. After switching my medications to a new pharmacy, I made a point to stop shopping in that grocery store. If they were going to treat their workers with that level of care, they wouldn’t get another penny from me no matter what. I had a similar experience with a cannabis dispensary that I onced loved and frequented exclusively. When our state had a new medical marijuana program, we only had two dispensaries at the start. One was run poorly and suddenly went under in the following year, however the other dispensary was strong. They were smart to implement a statewide delivery plan while they only had a few dispensaries in total. Today they have something like 48 different dispensary locations all across the state. They still have statewide delivery, however now there’s a cost and they never tell you when they’re going to show up at your house. Originally they’d give you a two hour window and they’d call first thing in the morning on the morning of the delivery to tell you.
